A special memorial function was held on the 1st of September, an event filled with love, music, and memories. It was attended by the staff, students and special invitees of Arundhati Roy, many of whom were in Kerala for the release of her latest book Mother Mary Comes to Me.

The school choir gave a beautiful performance of the choral version of the Beatles’ classic Let It Be. Tess Joseph shared her memories of Mrs Roy, recalling her strength, eccentricities, and legacy in a moving tribute sprinkled with humorous anecdotes.

The Mosquito Song by the Junior School, and a lively Valla Paattu by students and teachers, were thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The event ended with a traditional Kerala lunch, served to the special invitees.
